Gaby   &   Ryan

Junior Showmanship was our first step into the "Dog Game". Gaby began showing in Juniors in May of 2003, with our American Cocker Spaniel, Morgan. She was awarded two of her three wins in the novice junior class with Morgan and eventually switched over to showing our first bedlington, Gypsy. She received her final win in the Novice category at her first show out with Gypsy (Montgomery County KC Terrier Show) and began handling bedlingtons exclusively in the Juniors ring for most of the next 4 years. Later in 2003, we purchased Vegas as Gaby's dog and she switched to him. In December 2006, Gaby and Vegas went to the AKC Eukanuba National Championship and were the first junior & bedlington team to compete there. They also won Best Junior Handler at the 2006 Montgomery County KC, and were the first junior & bedlington team to win there in nearly 20 years. They ended 2006 as the #1 Junior/Bedlington team! In 2007, Gaby's last year in juniors, they ended as the #1 bedlington junior, top-5 terrier junior, and top-30 overall. They qualified for Eukanuba and Westminster, being the first to do that in nearly 20 years as well. They won numerous Open Senior classes and Best Junior awards over the years, most of the time in extremly tough competition.

Once Gaby started showing Vegas, it allowed us to have a dog for Ryan to show and he started in the juniors ring with Gypsy. In the few months that he showed Gypsy, Ryan won multiple placements and all three of his wins in the novice category. He also received an Open win with Vegas right after Gaby aged out of juniors.

Remy began showing in 2005, using Gypsy when Ryan didn't show and on several occasions, a dog named Charlie (Ch Chelsea's Prince of Wales) who Linda Freeman of Chelsea Blue Bedlingtons was generous enough to lend to us. Remy was awarded all three of his wins in the Novice categoty. He moved up to Open right before his 18th birthday.

Although all of the kids here have aged out of juniors, we still love to support junior handlers in our breed and have since welcomed Morgan Miller, Lydia Frey and Sadie Hughes to our juniors "family."

Morgan has been competing in Junior Showmanship with her bedlingtons Roadie and Bug, and has been extremly successful, becoming the #1 Bedlington Terrier junior for several years as well as the #1 Terrier Junior in 2010, #2 Terrier Junior in 2011 and #1 Terrier Junior in 2013. She has qualified several times for both Eukanuba and Westminster and has consistently won and placed in strong mid-Atlantic juniors classes!

Lydia signed onto Vegas in 2011 after getting Pippa, a puppy from our Royal Wedding litter. She wanted to learn how to show the breed with a more experienced dog before she focused on training her own puppy for the ring. Together, the two of them qualified for Eukanuba and racked up many wins and placements here on the East Coast. 2013 was a difficult year for Lydia in juniors as she switched dogs no less than 3 times throughout the year. She finally ended up partnered with Rigby (NBISS GCh LAMZ Eleanor Rigby CA CGC) and has done exceptionally well with her, ending the year as the #2 Bedlington junior and #9 Terrier junior.

Sadie, our newest junior handler bought a puppy from our 2013 litter between Rigby and Marcus, named Bubbles (LAMZ Champagne Wishes). Although Bubbles only turned 6 months old in November, the two of them have been consistently placing in very strong Open classes!

We are so proud of all of our juniors and we are very excited to see their continued success with our breed!
