About Rocky:
Rocky was one of the puppies from our first litter (Vegas X Gypsy) born on St. Patrick's Day. He started showing in the Fall of 2005 to get some experience in the ring as a puppy and was brought out in 2006 to finish his championship. At his first show in 2006, he was awarded Winners Dog/Best of Winners for his first point! He showed throughout the spring and early summer and the first weekend in August he was awarded both of his majors, and with them - his champion title. Rocky is the first Bred-By champion prouduced by the LAMZ kennel. He was invited to, and went to the AKC Eukanuba National Championship in December 2006 and showed very well for a young dog, but was retired from the conformation ring soon after as we were focused on the campaign of his sire, Vegas.
Rocky sired one litter in 2006, resulting in 3 blue male puppies. One of those puppies, Ch LAMZ Hollywood Scandal "Woody," was shown and finished his championship in just 5 weekends of showing. Another male from that litter, LAMZ Rumor Has It "Rumor," will be shown starting in 2013.
Rocky has competed in earthdog trials on numerous occasions and has passed the intro to quarry test several times. He earned his Junior Earthdog title in just a handful of tests, although they were spread out over a 7-year span!
He is currently retired from competition and stays home most weekends to be the "babysitter" to our cocker spaniel Morgan who can't be left without another dog around due to separation anxiety issues.
