» Over the last two weeks, we have finished our 26th and 27th homebred AKC Champions! Vogue and Tony, two littermates from our 2013 litter between Rigby and Marcus finished their AKC Championships at just 8 months of age! Congratulations are in order to all of their owners, co-owners and our deepest thanks to Malin Eriksson, from Sweden, who allowed us to use Marcus last year when he was visiting the USA for our National Specialty.

» We have 3 more Coursing Ability Test titles here at LAMZ! We went up to the beautiful Wine Country Circuit, in Romulus, New York, for 3 days of conformation and lure coursing. There were two trials each day, for a total of 6 trials. Shilling earned 6 more qualifying runs, bringing his total to 12, and earning him his Coursing Ability Advanced (CAA) title! Rigby ran, and qualified, in all 6 trials, earning her Coursing Ability (CA) title. Pippa ran 4 times, qualifying each run, also earning her CA title. Dee, who already has her CA title, ran 3 more qualifying runs, bringing her total to 6! Kate only ran once, but also qualified, bringing her total to 6! We are so proud to show off our dogs in another venue!
» We do not plan to have any more litters here at LAMZ in 2013, however, we will be co-breeding two litters, one of which is due in early December, and will be bred and raised by our co-owners located in Pennsylvania. We will happily pass interested families on to our co-owners to consider as homes for their puppies. » We have 2 new Grand Champions here at LAMZ! Dee finished her title in early July and Kate mid-July! Bug has picked up several points towards her Grand Championship as well!
» The summer 2013 puppies have all left for their forever homes! We are so excited to see how well they all do in the future as competitiors, companions and family members. We have 9 puppies which will be entering the show ring in late 2013 on into 2014 - it's going to be busy, but so much fun!

» We have 5 new titles here at LAMZ! We went to Dunkirk, NY for 3 days (6 trials) of Coursing Ability Testing with 6 dogs (Shilling, Vegas, Rumor, Kate, Dee and Elphie). All of the dogs had incredible runs, and out of the total 34 runs by the LAMZ crew, we walked away with 24 qualifying runs and 5 new CA titles for Vegas, Rumor, Shilling, Kate and Dee!

» Rigby went Best of Breed at the 137th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City! She is our first breed winner at Westminster, but received an Award of Merit back in 2010 at this prestigious show! What a great way to cap off her illustrious show career before she is retired in March!
» With Rigby retiring, we are bringing her younger half-brother, Shilling, back to the show ring! Shilling was the #1 Bedlington Terrier Dog in 2011 and on his first weekend back this year he went Best of Breed both days and placed in the group on Saturday!

» Hard to believe another year has come and gone, but WOW what a wonderful year for the LAMZ team and all of our friends, co-owners, puppy buyers and family! We are so proud to announce that Rigby (GCh LAMZ Eleanor Rigby) finished the year as the #2 Bedlington Terrier/#1 Owner-Handled Bedlington Terrier (Breed Points)/#7 Bedlington Terrier (All-Breed Points) for 2012! It is bittersweet to retire such a fabulous show dog, but we are very excited to see her puppies from a planned litter later this year!

» Harry (LAMZ Most Eligible Bachelor) finished his championship in Maryland, winning his 3rd major. He is our 20th homebred champion, and the 2nd from his litter to finish! He will be out limitedly in New England with his owner, Kim McCormick as he grows up.

» Pippa (LAMZ Upstaged the Bride) finished her AKC Championship this past weekend in Pennsylvania! She was Winners Bitch on Friday for the last single she needed to finish her title, making her our 19th homebred AKC Champion. She will be out limitedly this year, working on her Grand Championship!
» Chloe is definitely expecting puppies! She is getting bigger by the day! Her due-date is in mid-July and we are anxious to find out how many she is having when we take her for an xray during the week prior to get an accurate count of how many we are expecting! We are currently only accepting additional deposits from show homes or those willing to work with us in a co-ownership agreement.

» We've been taking some time off of showing while Gaby finishes up her last semester of college, but we couldn't stay away too long! We just got back from a fantastic weekend in West Virginia where we finished Vegas' Grand Championship and Gigi, the briard's, Championship. We got several nice wins on Kate, Pippa and Barnum - what a fun weekend! To top it off, Vegas picked up a Terrier Group 1 and a Best Veteran in Show on Thursday while Kate won Best Puppy in Show on Saturday! Rigby won three Group 3's...it was a fabulous weekend all around!!

» We have just returned from the BTCA National Specialty in Louisville, Kentucky and we had a fabulous time with great friends, great dogs and great wins! We brought with us, 2 class dogs, 2 class bitches and 3 specials in bedlingtons as well as our briard client and we came home with a lot of nice ribbons all around. Upholding the LAMZ Tradition, Harry picked up a 5-point major from the puppy classes, making him the 6th LAMZ Bred/Owned Bedlington to go Winners Dog or Bitch over a BTCA National Specialty Weekend, from the puppy class, in the last 6 years (Wylie - 2007, Piper - 2008, Ben - 2009, Shilling - 2010, Ginny - 2011 and Harry - 2012). All three of our specials also made it into the ribbons over the weekend, with all three picking up Awards of Merit on Friday and Vegas receiving two more AOMs on Saturday and Sunday. Pippa was also a big winner, going Best in Sweepstakes at the BTCA National Specialty. We had so much fun with all of our bedlington friends!
» Our Molli x Piper puppies have left for their new homes. Dee will be staying locally and will be placed out on a co-ownership with some friends. She will be hitting the show rings later this summer. Torrent went to a good friend in Indiana and he, too, will be making his show ring debut in the midwest over the later half of the year. Piper Jr. and Timmy went to their new homes in New England where they will be loved family companions! We will post more updates on these puppies as they grow up!

» Chloe's litter, sired by a dog from Iowa named Leo is in the works. She should be in season any time now and will be bred at that point, with puppies expected over the summer. We are currently taking deposits for this litter. More information can be found on the "Puppies" page.

» A new year here at LAMZ and we have a lot to look forward to! We've been taking it slow on the show circuit this year, but we are very excited to announce that Rigby (GCh LAMZ Eleanor Rigby) is making a strong comeback after taking 2011 off to raise a beautiful litter of puppies. Already winning Best of Breeds and a Group Placement, we are hopeful for another strong year in the show ring for her.
» We are anticipating strong debuts from several of the LAMZ puppies that were born last year in addition to continued success from those who have already hit the ring. From the Shilling x Ellie litter, four of the puppies will be shown this year: Pippa, Kate, Harry and William. Three of them are already pointed, including a major win for Pippa! From the Vegas x Rigby litter, we have 2 puppies showing here in the United States: Barnum and Jack and we also have a puppy that will be shown in Canada: Trixie. Several of these puppies will be at the BTCA National Specialty in March and we are so proud to be able to introduce them to the fancy!

» Our litter between Molli and Piper is doing very well! They are all spoken for and will be leaving for their new homes in just about 3 weeks. We are planning another litter, out of Chloe, sired by a dog from Iowa named Leo. More information can be found on the "Puppies" page. We are currently taking deposits on this litter.

» Our show season is winding down here, with only one show weekend remaining. We are so proud of all of our dogs and their accomplishments this year, and so thankful to all of our family, friends and extended "family" that worked so hard with their LAMZ bedlingtons this year and also had such great success.
» We look forward to debuting the puppies from our spring/summer litters next year. Pippa, Kate and Harry, from our Shilling x Ellie litter started showing this fall and have already had great success for such young puppies. Next year we will be bringing out several new puppies and we can't wait to see how they all do in the show ring!

Trixie, the only bitch in Rigby x Vegas' litter went to Canada where she is going to be shown, we are so excited to see how she does in the future! Jack and Barnum are going to be shown here in the states and Leo and Sunny are going to make the world's best companions for their new families!
» Two of the Ellie x Shilling puppies will be making their show-ring debut this coming weekend in Middleburg, VA! Pippa and Kate will be shown by their new owners, these two beautiful girls are going to make heads turn! Thier brothers Harry and William will also be starting out in the show ring in the next few weeks!
»Shilling is still the #1 Bedlington terrier in the United States (Breed Points)! He's had an incredible year and is really starting to mature into a such an incredible dog! He just turned 2 on September 19, and while we hadn't planned to campaign him at such a young age, he is turning into the dog we'd hoped he would! We can't thank all of our friends, supporters and of course, the judges, enough for recognizing this young dog!

» We just got back from our National Specialty weekend in Louisville, KY and it was an amazing weekend for the LAMZ crew. Shilling was awarded Select Dog on Thursday and Friday and Best of Breed on Sunday. Ginny went Winners Bitch from the 6-9mos puppy class at our National Specialty, shown by her co-owner Jodi Moreland and Vegas went BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW from the veterans class at the BTCA National Specialty on Saturday under breeder-judge Jackie Fogel!

» Shilling received back-to-back Group 1's in South Carolina this past weekend, becoming the third LAMZ bedlington to receive such honors. Previously, two of our other boys, Vegas and his son Roadie had both received Group 1's. This is the first of Vegas' grandpuppies to receive a group 1 and it pleases us to see his winning tradition passed on to future generations. We are currently expecting a litter sired by Shilling. » We just returned from the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship show in California and with its conclusion, we are done showing for the year. We had a tremendous year here at LAMZ with 5 new homebred Champions (Roadie, Molli, Shilling, Elphie and Glinda), 3 new homebred Grand Champions (Rigby, Roadie and Shilling) as well as Group Placements on Rigby, Roadie and Shilling, Group Wins on Roadie, a new All-Time Top Producing Brood Bitch (Gypsy) and 2010 Top Brood Bitch (Gypsy) as well numerous other wins and accomplishments. We are so proud of all of our dogs and their owners/co-owners and so happy to welcome 4 new homes to the LAMZ family. It has been an amazing year and we look forward to what the future has in store for all of the LAMZ dogs.

» The Ellie x Vegas puppies are all leaving for their new homes this week. We are so excited to welcome 4 new show and performance homes to the breed! Good luck and welcome to Lindsey, Jodi, Linda and Pam as well as their families to the joy of living with and owning a Bedlington Terrier! » Statistics are out through May and we are very pleased to announce that we have 3 dogs in the top-20 All-Breed rankings for Bedlingtons (Rigby, Shilling and Piper). Rigby is also the #1 Bedlington Bitch and #4 Bedlington in Breed-points.
We have had some nice wins in the show ring latelty, including Puppy and Bred-By Group Wins/Placements and a nice group placement on our Keeshond client from the classes.

» We just got back from the shows in Freehold, NJ and what a great weekend it was for the LAMZ crew. Roadie finished his championship, making him our 11th homebred champion! We also got points, majors and major reserves on 3 of our bitches this weekend. Rigby is finally back in the ring after losing most of her coat this winter, and won the breed every day this weekend for 20 breed points, what a way to come back! It was a fantastic weekend all around with great friends, great dogs, and great wins.

» The summer show season is upon us and we have an exciting group of dogs coming out! We will be continuing to special Rigby, who is coming back to the ring after a nasty staph infection this winter that caused her to lose a lot of coat, and we are bringing out a few new bedlington puppies as well as a few dogs from other groups. It should be a very busy, but fun summer for all of us! Keep an eye out for updates!

» We have gotten a few nice wins recently with our dogs in many parts of the country. Shilling picked up two more majors,a Group 3 and a Group 4 at just 7mos old. Morgan Miller now has Roadie singled out and is just looking for his majors and Bug is pointed and working on her championship. Michael Berry took Piper to Alabama and picked up a Group 3 and Group 4. We will be bringing out Elphie and Glinda soon as well as bringing Rigby back out as a special.

» We have just returned from the BTCA Floating National Specialty in Louisville, Kentucky and the LAMZ crew put in some excellent performances and we had a lot of nice wins! Gypsy received two more legs towards agility titles, Vegas was given two more Awards of Merit, Shilling picked up a 5-point major and was Best of Winners at the Floating National and we had numerous other placements and cuts throughout the weekend! We had a great time with all of our bedlington friends!
