There are very few bedlingtons born every year in the USA so if you're interested in a puppy we reccomend that you find a reputable breeder and contact them when you begin your search to reserve a puppy from a future litter! We usually breed only once or twice a year, and our litters are carefully planned long before the puppies are born.

We are often asked whether we have companion puppies available, or if we only sell show puppies. The answer is that we always have companion puppies in any litter we breed. Although we breed every single litter for the show ring and to better the breed, only a handful of puppies will ever make it to the show ring. Insignificant structural traits, that the average owner would never notice, could eliminate the dog as a show candidate, but that dog will make a beautiful, healthy, loving companion for a family. There are pet-quality puppies in every litter and we welcome all inquiries from those seeking a companion as well as those seeking a show prospect.

All the dogs we use for breeding are DNA 1,1 (clear), non-carriers, for Copper Toxicosis, have current eye CERF testing, have had their hearts examined by a licensed Cardiologist and have had their patellas examined to ensure they are healthy and clear of genetic abnormalities before breeding. Our puppies are also all CERF tested, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, are micro-chipped and de-wormed and have their hearts checked by a licensed cardiologist before we place any of them in new homes.

All of our puppies are registered with the AKC. Our show-prospect puppies are sold on a co-ownership agreement until they complete their AKC Championship, at which point we will sign off of their papers. All pet puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract with Limited registration, meaning that if the dog is bred, any resulting offspring will be ineligible for AKC registration and we retain co-ownership on them until proof of spay/neuter is provided to us, in writing, by your veterinarian.

For many reasons, we do not ship our puppies to their new homes, all of our puppies must be picked up in person. For those new families who live too far away to drive, we are located near several major airports in the D.C. area and will gladly work with you to set up a time for you to fly out and pick up your puppy and bring it home with you.

UPDATE: Rigby will be bred again when she comes back into season, which should be around June 2015. We will publically announce the stud dog after the breeding has taken place (any serious puppy inquiries from this litter will be informed of the stud dog privately). At this time, we are accepting inquiries from show homes who would like to be considered for this litter.
